Setup Order Forwarding

Order forwarding allows your system to automatically send new orders to another platform, email, or fulfillment service. Setting it up correctly ensures that your orders are processed efficiently and reach the right destination without delay.

Step 1: Access Order Forwarding Settings

  1. Log in to your account on the website.
  2. Navigate to the Settings or Integrations section.
  3. Locate Order Forwarding in the menu and click to open the configuration page.

Step 2: Add a Forwarding Destination

  1. Click on Add New Destination.
  2. Choose the type of forwarding: Email, API, or Third-Party Service.
  3. Enter the required details:
    • For email: Enter the recipient email address.
    • For API: Enter the endpoint URL and authentication credentials.
    • For third-party services: Select the service and provide login or API information.

Step 3: Configure Forwarding Rules

  1. Specify which orders should be forwarded:
    • All orders
    • Orders with specific statuses (e.g., Paid, Shipped, Pending)
    • Orders from specific sales channels
  2. Optionally, set filters based on order attributes like product type, location, or priority.

Step 4: Test Forwarding

  1. Use the Test Forwarding button to verify that orders are being sent correctly.
  2. Check the receiving platform, email, or service to confirm that the test order arrives successfully.

Step 5: Save and Activate

  1. Click Save to store the configuration.
  2. Enable forwarding if there is an Activate toggle.
  3. Monitor the first few live orders to ensure everything works smoothly.

Best Practices

  • Double-check recipient addresses and API credentials before activation.
  • Limit forwarding to only necessary orders to avoid unnecessary traffic.
  • Regularly review forwarded orders for errors or delivery issues.
  • Update rules when new sales channels or services are added.
