Proper formatting makes your data clearer, more professional, and easier to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Number Formatting?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Number formatting controls how numbers are displayed, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Currency symbols<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Percentage signs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decimal places<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date formats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comma separators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<br>The value <strong>1000<\/strong> can appear as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$1,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1000%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The value stays the same, but the display changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply Number Formatting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 1: Using the Home Tab<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the cell(s).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Number<\/strong> group, choose a format from the dropdown list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 2: Using Format Cells<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the cell(s).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click and choose <strong>Format Cells<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the desired category.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortcut: Press <strong>Ctrl + 1<\/strong> to open the Format Cells dialog box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Number Formats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.
