Unlike K-Means, it does not require specifying the number of clusters in advance and produces a <strong>tree-like structure<\/strong> (dendrogram) showing the relationships between data points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Hierarchical Clustering Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hierarchical clustering can be done in two main ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Agglomerative (Bottom-Up)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start with each data point as its own cluster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Iteratively merge the two closest clusters based on a distance metric (e.g., Euclidean distance).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue until all points belong to a single cluster or a stopping criterion is reached.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
